Palm IIIc PDA Battery question.?
I have a Palm IIIc PDA. When I put it on the dock, it turns on and starts charging. Since I haven't used it for a while, I charged it overnight. When I woke up, I took the PDA out of the cradle, and then tried to press the power button, but it didn't turn on.
Even when they are not being used the batteries can degrade. Try charging it over night a couple of more times. If, eventually, you do get a charge, then run it until it dies completely. Repeat the process sveral times, charging and then running it completely. Each time you do this the battery should last a bit longer until you have it to the point where it will last close to it's originally length.
The Palm III didn't use a NIMH battery so it would develop a memory after a time if it was recharged too soon. Essentially, it tricked itself into thinking it's life was shorter than it actually was.
